It is a multi functional space with an area of 15 square meters, with a bathroom, all built from recycled materials and that has all the comfort and heating benefits of building a place with materials such us tires and compacted soil.
Construction techniques used in this project are those of Earthship Biotecture fused with elements of traditional Andean technics and other conventional construction techniques to make spaces like the bathroom.
The house was built using 330 tires, 288 bottles and other building left over materials of Kai’s construction project. The result, in addition to the touch of elegance and eccentricity that owns, has a positive effect on the environment by recycling what would otherwise be waste in the Sacred Valley.

Since its conceptualization, Kai residence has been specifically designed as a space for art and research residencies. For this reason, it was important that both its design and construction were always in mind in order to materialize them the way they were thought. One of the key characters to achieve this goal was the Peruvian architect Sergio Guzman, who already had a clear idea of what a residence of art was and brought to the project a particular factor of creativity influenced by its studies in industrial design in Europe.
