APPLY FOR A GRANT

Kai encourages new projects through two partial grants, each year. One is directed towards the development of an art project and the other one towards a research project, both of which will have to deal with a subject linked to the Andean region. Likewise, the art or research project should propitiate the exchange of knowledges in between the foreign artists/researcher and a member (or members) of any of the communities located at the Sacred Valley of the Incas or its surroundings ( Cusco – Peru ).

 

Terms and conditions of our grants

Call for submission of applications:
September 1st to November 10th, 2016.
The results will be announced privately to each applicant on December 10th, 2016.

 

Working languages:
Spanish and English.

 

Duration of residency:
2 weeks.

 

Period of residency:
Held in February and October 2017. Exact dates to be confirmed.

 

Number of residents per grant:
1 person.

 

Benefits to be granted by Kai:
Kai grants include only the space of residence (single bedroom) and use of Rumi or Sonqo studios (subject to availability), during the two weeks of residency

 

Expectations at the end of the residence:
Applicants who obtain a grant must show their final project or leave any evidence of their work (presentation, workshop, class, exhibition or donating his artistic work) to share the results of their residency.

 

On cleaning:
Cleaning the bedroom and work areas used shall be the responsibility of the resident in order to maintain order inside the residence.
